Manchester Apollo, 22 & 23 November

"What can I say......????? I've met Pulp (ALL OF PULP). I am so happy! I have had a cuddle from Jarvis and a cuddle from Nick. Candida, Mark, Richard and Steve are all so nice. I can't believe how kind and nice they all are. "I went to both the Manchester concerts and was at the front at both. Jarvis spoke to me whilst he was on stage and gave me a bottle of water, we had a mini conversation about whisky...it was so good - he kept pointing at me and Janine. On the Monday night Jarvis asked the audience "Who was here last night?", and before me and Janine could scream "We were!" Jarvis turned straight towards us and said "I know you were here...". It was just brilliant...." (Jody Foster)

My first impression of the Apollo was "What a dive", but once inside I just couldn't wait for it all to start. After fumbling my way to my seat I was beginning to wish I was standing down in the mosh pit, as many of the people seated around me appeared to be somewhat reserved. At some points I had to ask myself, do these people know who Pulp are or did they get their days mixed up and actually meant to come to the Bingo?

"As the lights went down and the music began, the adrenalin was running high, the mosh pit was rocking and I think some of the people around me managed a twitch! As Jarvis came on to The Fear, screams were heard from the front, but gasps were also heard as suddenly, another Jarvis graced the stage, and we realised that the first Jarvis had been a clone! Two Jarvis' on stage at once was too much to handle, but what a dream come true eh. It was amusing to see peoples heads going from left to right , like spectators at a tennis match. It was a great opener and really got the crowd going.

"Jarvis looked as sexy as ever in trousers so tight it's a wonder he didn't sustain an injury. The gig was a blast from beginning to end, and it was refreshing to hear some of the His 'n' Hers classics especially the all too often forgotten Joyriders, which is one of my favourites. all in all it was a fantastic gig. Pulp just get better and better, don't they?! (Kerrie)
