T In the Park, Kinross, 12th July
"I feel that I should write in to describe how great Pulp were at T In The Park. I drove up from Leeds to Kinross with the sole purpose of seeing them play, especially as I haven't seen them live for two years...as you can imagine, expectations were very high. And I am pleased to say that Pulp met my expectations. They played so well that even my boyfriend publicly admitted that they were very good (Hey - it's nothing to be ashamed of!). Seeing them on stage made wading through mud all day worth it. Hearing The Fear and This Is Hardcore is the highlight of my year. It was such an amazing atmosphere. I usually go to a festival each year and I have yet to come across another frontman who can compete with Jarvis. However, I wouldn't be surprised if his dance technique claimed lives if he did it on a crowded dance floor. I am also surprised that neither he or Mark seem able to tie their own shoelaces. I saw the same backstage bloke have to tie the laces for both of them - surely success has not gone too much to their heads? Anyway, who cares, they have again proved themselves to be the best live band around." (Alison Horrocks)
