FEEDBACK.......
WOW! This is GREAT! Thank you so much for this...It all sounds like PULP but not in a "same old thing" boring kind of way - No, it's different and it's great! It really made my day shine and I will buy the album straight away! (Sofia Hagberg, London)
Thanks for the opportunity to hear the seductive snippets of what sounds to be a beautiful album. The songs seem to have a really pretty melodic vibe, that kind of forces you to go some place where the leaves are changing colors, close your eyes and take a breath of fresh air. It put a warm smile on my face. (Lilia, Cambridge, MA)
Thankyou thankyou for the wonder that is Pulp People! Listened to Jarv last night on Lamaq. Heard Wickerman for the first time and it just blew me away. Once again this band have managed to move me like no other can! Also thanks for clips, have just listened and can hardly wait for the album! And then the tour! And Desperate! (Christine, Falkirk, Scotland)
Bloody Brilliant! I don't think I've ever looked forward to an album this much. (Bransby)
This is Pulp their BEST. Back with a vengeance!!!! Jarvis, I am so happy to see your smiling face once more! (Erika, Denbighshire)
I think it's fantastic!! (Nicole Geyster)
I'm NOT impressed at all. If I wasn't a fan of Pulp I would never buy it, but I will. It's nothing compared to their earlier work. (Andreas, Sweden)
The album sounds brill! Even
better than I remember it live, it seems Scott Walker's the right choice for
this sound of Pulp. It seems to have some of my favourite trademark Pulp sounds,
but done in a way that they've not done before, ace! Can't wait to buy it.
(Phil)
So much time and so much distance covered, in all sorts of ways, following the
songs from the Flux festival at the Queen's Hall in Edinburgh to this point, but
the thrill is just the same. Just wonderful. Thanks for persevering, Pulp. (Milena,
London)
Fantasticky. I feel justified in saying We Love Life is the best yet. (Howard)
Oohh, even though i've been to the dentist today,,,, I FEEL GREAT this is soOO wonderful. (Stine, Copenhagen)
Thank you soooo much for sharing! The only problem is that now I feel a bit teased, since it will be a little bit longer before it will be available here in the States. Regardless, the clips sound fantastic! (Stephanie)
C'est fantastique!!! Genial! One of Pulp best albums. Proud of having waited so much time to hearing this good work: the logical continuation of the fantastic show this summer in Benicassim ("Birds in your Garden" sounded very well). Thanks!! (Mariola Contreras Ribera)
Jarvis is god. He must be, 'cause these songs are so pure, so natural. Just fantastic. (Bas, The Netherlands)
Just heard the sound bites of the new album. It's good to hear a little more sunshine coming from the "hardcore darkness". Sheffield goes green!! (Rob & Carla Allen, Doncaster)
Great! Sounds pretty much like Different Class played live, and those late70s / early80s-italian-pop flavoured melodies are back. Part of Birds in your Garden sounds very much, probably not on purpose, like UB40s Kingston Town! At least four potential singles. And the I Monsters mix for The Trees is great as well. (Jeremie, Paris)
Hurrah! I was starting to wonder if the new album was actually going to happen...but it's definitely been worth the wait. Wickerman is beautiful as is Bob Lind...as for Bad Cover Vision - I keep getting this image of a 1950's family Christmas scene (Jarvis in Santa hat, snow, ice skaters etc)! It's fab. Thank you Pulp for being happy. (Katherine Duley)
Well it's a little short but we can hear a Pink Floyd influence or a kind of psychedelic sound: it's hard to know after those clips. I'm not convinced but that's always the same thing with Pulp albums, I fall in love with them after a very long listening so I don't care, it will take time as usual. (Georges, France)
Great album! I like all the songs. The guitar sound different, but i like it. for me, it was a fresh sensation to here this new PULP work. I'm from Chili and here a lot of people were waiting for this album. thank you, Jarvis. (Jaime García, Santiago, Chile).
It was really worth waiting for. Just fantastic!! (Midori from Japan)
Mmmm guess what this album reminds me of...1986. The tunes, the guitars, the sentiments, the lo-fidelity (though that might be these crappy headphones)...the fact that it will be under-appreciated in it's own time. It feels like that halcyon year all over again. Is this the relentless onset of nostalgia in me? (Richard, London)
When I listened to them, I thought...this is Pulp!!!...They've really got a different class, isn't it???I love them!!! Thanks for all, pulp people...you're great!!! (Ely,Italy)
We Love Life looks like it may just be one of the cleverest albums Pulp have written - I love We Love Life! For those of you out there that are currently saying its not what you want or expected from Pulp, may i suggest that perhaps you have forgotten what Pulp are about. (Charlie, London)
Sounds great, very interesting, makes me salivate for more music to delve into. (Joshua, USA)
I just finished to Pulp's new album "We Love Life" and all I can say "DAMN, that's AMAZING!". I have followed Pulp since their album "Masters of Universe" and "We Love Life" is the best, deepest, and most soulful Pulp album I think to date! I guess taking a long break and sitting in the woods can be a great inspiration for Jarvis, cause it's also a lyrically stronger album than there Moody-porno-laced last effort "This Is Hardcore" (May have been taboo, but it was a great CD!). My fave track has to be "Sunrise", capturing the feel of warm sun rays in a song is very difficult, but somehow Jarvis did it, also I love the track "The Trees", it's a great Arbor Day anthem! I can't wait to buy my copy of "We Love Life", I just hope it also comes to the U.S. on the same day! Thanks for listening and keep up the great work at Pulp Online! (JamiroFan2000)
Yes, Yes, YES!! We've waiting too long but now they are back. Just listen to these tracks. My favs are the wonderful Trees, Bad Cover Version and Sunrise. Can't wait to buy all formats and remixes. Please visit Vienna on one of your next gigs. (Alexander, Vienna)
Thanks pulppeople for giving us a chance to listen to pulp's latest album! Well the songs are cool, especially "The Trees". I'm glad that Pulp can still make such beautiful songs and Jarvis is still so charming! (Ginny, Hong Kong)
This taste of PULP musical extravaganza made me feel angst, despair and anxiety!! I cant wait to listen to the whole material. On the other side, once I go into my quiet side I thank you for sharing this piece of sound!! The flavour looks delicious! LIVE ON! (Fernando Delfin, Mexico)
O Jarvis...I love life too! Sooooooo good to hear your VOICE again. If this is a dream then I'm going to sleep...till I get my own copy (Marilyn Havern, Scotland
Thank you so much for giving my ears a tease and for not making me go to a drabby LA club to be part of their "listening party"! I was able to enjoy this at home alone. I never knew 30 second snippets of PULP could turn me on...(sigh)...Thanx XXXX (Iris Minou, Los Angeles)
I, one of the biggest Pulp fans in the world could be ignorant and say that this album is a masterpiece easily just because it's my favorite band but i won't, THIS ALBUM IS A MASTERPIECE, just because it is. Even if I didn't mind Pulp much, the album still is beautiful. It is so innocent and pure. There are glimpses of "This is Hardcore" as in Weeds II, Wickerman, and Sunrise but they're on the happier end of it. "Birds in your Garden" reminds me a bit of "Something Changed" which is a real good thing considering it's one of my favorite songs they've ever made. Out of ten, it deserves a 9. something, cause "Different Class" is a 10 (hard to measure up to those kind of standards) (Option 27)
HAVING HEARD THE COMPLETE NEW ALBUM ... I THINK THAT THE PREVIOUS RELEASE IS STILL THEIR BEST. THIS ONE SOUNDS MORE STRIPPED DOWN LIKE THE REALLY EARLY STUFF W/ A LITTLE EDGING BACK INTO HIS/HERS IT'S BY FAR THE BEST RELEASE TO COME OUT IN A LONG TIME. AND FOR PULP IT'S A B+ BUT AS A RELEASE COMPARED TO EVERYTHING THING ELSE OF COURSE IT'S AN "A" (Chad)

It is very difficult to me to analyse, because I like all their music and Mr. Cocker has such a powerful voice. They are brilliant, indeed. I discovered PULP not long ago (which is a pity). But since then I have bough all the albums I can get. I think the new album is very good. It sounds like PULP and for me that is enough. Thank you for the music and please don't stop. Otherwise our lives become very boring. (Paula, Portugal)
FINALLY ITS HERE!!! I hesitated writing
when I first heard these tracks the other day, I was expecting more
dance/synthesizer kind of stuff. Now that I've listened to them a few more
times, it sounds great! Stripped down, really clean, warm sounds.
The kind of music only PULP can make.
(Kyle, Illinois, USA)
It's just Pulp, and it's great. I'm waiting 4 life... now it's simply the same day. the day after the revolution. what revolution? the war is not over... thanx Jarvis & co. for little moments of great music! (Simone, Milan, Italy)
Listen to the new album online? No, I refuse to! How could it do Pulp and Mr Walker justice? I'm going to wait until Monday and buy the blooming thing! Delayed gratification and all that. (Mark, Sheffield)
I think Pulp is the kind of band whose songs grow on the listener- they're not instantaneously addictive. But these song samples help plant the seed so buy the time the album comes out I'll have all the melodies in my head. Although I'd buy the album just for "Bad Cover Version" alone! (Matt, Philadelphia, USA)
Very lush and large sounding. Scott Walker was brought out the true beauty of these songs, the sound even greater than the live versions, not that Pulp can't cut it live it's just the sound Scott Walker has brought out of the studio couldn't, shouldn't be replicated. (Scott McGinn, Darvel, Scotland)
Absolutely
brilliant! I’ve never been so engaged in music after only 30 seconds. Since I
live in the states, I will definitely shell a few more dollars for the import.
To hell with waiting for the official release here.
(John, New York)
Wow! Chock full of Pulpy goodness! From what I've heard, Birds in Your Garden and Bad Cover Version especially make me want this album. If it's released in the US... (Keith, Winchester, VA)
What can I say but absolutely brilliant!!!...there are a few surprises and compromises....Trees still being one of Pulps finest moments...I love life which I really liked came out a bit strange with some odd bassy kind of thing going on...is it some kind of body pulsing thing or something???...kind of breathe in breathe out effect???...Origin of the species...yes very good...kind of drifts into I Spy material at times with a touch of Seductive Barry and This House is Condemned...quite brilliant really...Wickerman is superb aswell and Birds in your garden I guess will be the next single....but what's that Bob Lind thing???...sounds like piped music in an Indian restaurant...not keen on that one....but the one which has really gripped me in a big way is Bad cover version....Oh yes a big 10 out of 10 on that one I haven't stopped playing it all day its just amazing. Weeds, Minnie and Roadkill are just epic tracks and of course the amazing Sunrise. A really great album which has which has turned hardcore into nature a kind of reality check of sweet and sour senses. (Gary, Luton)
I must say that after getting the CD yesterday, I have managed to listen to it 4 times so far and it's great, it's a bit slow to start with but after a few listens, you start to hear that old cocker magic again. Birds is my fave track at the moment. (Darren Drabwell)
Yes! Finally the years best album is in my cd-collection now. It was better than I thought. Thanks Pulp.... (Richard Bjorling)
I love 'We Love Life'. It is, in true Pulp style, an absolute work of genius that deserves to be worshipped. If CDs could be canonised, this should go to the Vatican straight away. Lyrics, tunes, riffs, everything. Smack bang on the nose, do you really like it, ayia napa. I cannot say anything more positive about this album! Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Cocker for bearing such a genius. (Nathan Hamer)
The new album rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (J Dalton)
What happened to the sexy Pulp I know? Jarvis
used to be so suave. That's what I liked about the group. I'm not too sure
about this whole new folk sound. Seems like it's falling apart. It's kind
of
boring. They need to put the dark sound back in the music. I'm not even sure
I'll buy it when it comes out. It's no Different Class. I guess we all have our
low points. (Christopher Schulz)
I feel little disappointed about the very new album, as if they would have been stoned and had no inspiration whatsoever. (Tom, Germany)
Just to let you know I got Pulp's new album on Monday and love it. It's beautiful. My fave is 'Sunrise', closely followed by 'The Night That Minnie Timperley Died'. Just watched them on Jools Holland and they played them both and I love them for it. I think they will always be my fave band, they haven't disappointed since 1993 when I first heard 'Babies'. (Mark, Sheffield)
Jarvis sort of saved my life once...
when i was terribly depressed, his music was always there to cheer me up,
to show me the way to... life. WE LOVE LIFE is certainly something i can say now
The most enchanting Pulp album ever... Listen to it and dance with fairies... (Fiki)
The album of the year! (Helmut Glaser)
Hey, good things come to those who wait and after an excruciatingly long wait (and a bit extra) BOY IS IT GOOD!! I listened with unbearable antici...Pation almost scared to be too excited lest I be disappointed (as if!) WOW! I listened again hardly daring to breathe in, breathe out and believe it was true, but I was right, it was true - TRUE AND UTTERLY, UTTERLY GLORIOUS!! My whole soul woke up and sang along! How can it be so different, such a melting pot of extreme oddities and yet still be so UNDENIABLY, GLORIOUSLY PULP?! It's exquisite! They are pure genius! Suddenly life is worth living again! I love life, I love We Love Life, I love Pulp, I love me for loving Pulp and I love you and everyone else who loves Pulp - we must all be pretty sound human beings! Stay true, be happy, keep believing and do what you do... (Jill, Aberdeen)
I think it's a great album. It sounds different in compare to the old songs, but i like it. The guitar sounds very fresh . I'm sure that this work will be a success here in Chile (Jaime, Santiago, Chile)
Oh my god this album kicks ass!! The second song Weeds II I think, that snippet sent chills through me. Jarvis has the sexiest voice on that track. Also the sunshine song (or whatever it is called) was so beautiful! cant wait to own it! (Heather, Roanoke, VA, USA)
Pulp's We Love Life is another amazing album by such an absolutely amazing band. First of all, the arrangements and guitar techniques used on this album are top notch! I turn up Weeds full blast in my car while I'm in traffic waiting for the light to change and sing, "weed like to get you out of your mind"... Wickerman is so good that it is on my top 10 favorite songs of all time list. Birds In Your Garden puts me in that kind of beautiful spring feverish mood that I love to be in. Trees, Bob Lind, Bad Cover Version, and The Night Minnie Timperley Died are also songs that I will listen to over and over and over again. Many, many thanks to Pulp: for making great music with great lyrics, a combination that's so damn rare these days! (Diane Winterich, Atlanta GA)
I'm telling what I think of We Love Life! I
think it starts strongly with Weeds and the part 2 of it (the story of the
species), then Minnie's tune smashes my brains every time i get to hear it!!! a
great song with strong lyrics by Jarvis!! This is my fav. song of this
album...then the trees is truly simply amazing! it's got a very delicate tunes. Wickerman
is nice but complicated and the story of it is ...well...sad , it remind me of
"David's last Summer", then i love life and birds in your garden - are
the gems of this album!!! simply beautifull!!! The the album gets a pop up with
bob lind , and bad cover version, is well.... great!!! oh wow!!! a wow song and
a wow words!!! Roadkill and Sunrise finishing the album elegantly quiet! (Shelley
from Israel)
